The second edition of the prestigious evening is approaching. And to tell you a little more about how it works here are some surprises!
During this charity event, all funds raised will be donated to the HOPE TEAM EAST association for the development of the Super Optimist program.
CAP OPTIMIST is a sports challenge organized by the association HOPE TEAM EAST which aims to promote and raise funds for this program.
An auction is planned at the end of the evening following the meal and the various speeches, all orchestrated by the well-known and recognized Yann Kuzsak, commentator of many international sporting events.

Benjamin SANCHIS known as “Sancho” is one of the most famous surfers of big waves. Originally from Capbreton, he surfed NAZARE, a 33 meters wave! SANCHO donated to the association a board made by Fifi Chevalier Shaper, known worldwide to equip the greatest surfers.

Encierro is the latest creation of Passeurs de Vins, an import house created by Lionel Osmin, the wine maker of the South-West, and Imanol Harinordoquy, the bouncy Basque… This organic wine is the fruit of their peregrinations, which brought them to La Mancha, south of Madrid, where only the mills of Don Quixote stand out on the horizon. They named this wine “ENCIERRO” for their love of ferias. This bottle is dedicated by Imanol, famous rugby international.

Stéphanie BARNEIX, president of the HOPE TEAM EAST association, who has beaten four cancers, including two breast cancers, had a plaster bust made, a participative sculpture, symbol of the KEEP A BREAST association, which campaigns for breast cancer prevention. This bust will be decorated by the collage artist Dominique Luccioni.

After a title in 2021 of French Champion of the Women’s Basketball League against Montpellier and winner of the French Cup in 2022 against Bourges, the professional basketball team BASKET LANDES continues its quest for titles and puts the South-West in the spotlight of women’s collective sports by playing for the 3rd consecutive year in EUROLEAGUE with the best European teams.
Challenges taken up with a lot of talent around its captain Céline DUMERC CAP’S, international player with 262 selections in the French team, European champion in 2009 and silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games with the French team. Discover this team of champions in the next EUROLEAGUE season with the signed jersey.

In one year’s time, the Rugby World Cup will begin in France with Les Bleus, who under Fabien Galthié, have acquired a legitimate status as favorites. The French national team is ranked second in the world and has less than a year to prepare for the 2023 Rugby World Cup. Ambassador of the CAP OPTIMITS Expedition, at 23 years old Vahiné has added a new achievement to her list of achievements this year: the 2nd place in the ISA Amateur World Championship. A seed of champion who has not finished surprising!

Moment of sharing with at least two rowers after the final expedition (around May 2023). The opportunity to share a prone paddleboard session with the extreme waterwomen!
